About me

El enfoque de mi práctica medica mayoritariamente, se encuentra en el manejo de enfermedades hepáticas y de las vías biliares, que requieren manejo quirúrgico. Como los tumores primarios o metastásicos de hígado, tumores benignos, y tumores de las vías biliares. Este tipo de enfermedades las manejo en todos los grupos de edad.

Mi formación inicial después de obtener mi primer titulo profesional en medicina general, opté por realizar la especialidad de cirugía pediátrica. Fui a formarme en el exterior, y por razones que la vida presenta, tuve la oportunidad de estar en uno de los sitos más prolíficos de trasplante hepático con donante vivo. A partir de ahí surgió mi pasión por el hígado y todo el contexto médico y quirúrgico.

Mi formación abarcó pacientes adultos y pediátricos por un período aproximado de 4 años después de mi especialidad quirúrgica. Aunado a esto, la experiencia y estudio de las enfermedades oncológicas del hígado, cáncer de hígado y de las vías biliares y su resolución, son áreas que he podido acumular durante los años mucha experiencia quirúrgicas.

También he profundizado en otros ámbitos de la gestión de programas de trasplante, y formo parte activa de sociedades científicas en las cuales he podido colaborar.
