""Everything for the patients": In medicine, for the most part, there are alternatives to improve and extend the lives of patients. Many times, there are doctors that act reserved as they prefer to be conservatives and not make risky decisions. In other cases, procedures and standards are not offered as they have in developed countries. Therefore, "there is nothing else to be done" is often heard. My philosophy is to fight with my patients with hope while always offering them my best effort and the best treatments that are not only available in Costa Rica but in the top institutes throughout the world."

General Info

About me

I studied to become a doctor because through medicine I can contribute to a better world and help so many women in need. Since I was little I was intrigued by how chronic diseases often cut short the lives of women around me. I hardly knew my paternal grandmother before she passed and I lost my maternal grandmother; both victims of chronic diseases. Oncologic surgery allows me to help save, extend or improve the lives of many women as they face one of the most devastating epidemics of our eras. What I like the most about my job is helping those that are in dire need by permitting to have more time with their loved ones.
